About the Journal
The International Journal of Multidisciplinary Hygiene Research (IJOMHRE) is an interdisciplinary, peer-reviewed, open-access scientific journal publishing original research in the fields of hygiene, public health, food safety, environmental health, occupational health and safety, and tourism and hospitality hygiene, as well as studies intersecting with social sciences and humanities such as folklore, history, anthropology, sociology, and cultural studies.
The journal commenced publication in 2025, with its first issue published in December 2025. It is published twice a year, in June and December, and accepts articles in both Turkish and English.
With its multidisciplinary scope, the journal values research addressing the scientific, cultural, historical, and social dimensions of hygiene. The journal welcomes contributions in the following areas:
The historical and cultural evolution of hygiene
Traditional cleaning practices and folklore studies
Social perceptions of hygiene and behavioral sciences
Food safety, sanitation, and risk management
Hygiene practices in tourism, gastronomy, and hospitality
Environmental hygiene, sustainability, and health policies
The application process for the June 2026 issue is ongoing. Researchers are invited to submit high-quality articles addressing the topic of hygiene from integrated scientific, cultural, and historical perspectives.
